Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

That's awesome River. I had an uncle who could build anything. Always had different projects going on. Built his own airplane. Built an elevator in his modest two story house when my aunt became disabled and couldn't climb the stairs.
He's long gone now, but I've always admired people who could build stuff. It's people like you that made this country great. Well done sir!
Been smokin' spare ribs since noon today. Found a bottle of Elijah Craig small batch about an hour ago. It's 70 and the sun is peeking through here near God's country, Athens GA. Diamond Dogs already won. Life is good.
That's awesome @riverdawg7905 . My Cookshack went out over the winter. Wouldn't heat, so I looked into a new heating element. Around $125.00 plus shipping, and I'm not even sure it's the heating element. Hate to buy it and find out it's an electrical control problem.
With that said, I've been thinking of ways I could convert the smoke box into a manual smoker. This pic just gave me some good ideas....Thanks!!
Great thread @ghostofuga1
@tfk_fanboy , I’ve had my Kamado Joe for about 5 years now. I’ve got the original Classic. Only question I have for myself is ambI ready to pull the trigger on the Big Joe.. I have the soapstone which is awesome to cook on as well as the Joetiseree which has been fun to try different things on. Got steaks going on tonight , reverse searing them I think tonight!
Got new stainless grates for the grill from Lang. Living good bros and broettes. Did something quick and easy.
Sous vide then sear
Looking good pharm bro. I need to get one to try out for little stuff.
Did a marinade for some chicken thighs and then grilled yesterday. Was really good. I'd use less beer and more sesame oil and soy sauce next time
Kudos to the OP here. That headline is smokin'
Makes me thing of a man who is living his best life.
He is living good for sure
Did a Boston butt and boneless chicken thighs this past Saturday, d.a.m.n.!!!
This was the butt 4 hours in....
This is a really great thread. That's what I love about people and this sort of online community.
DawgNation.com goal: We put together a summer DawgNation Food and Drink Festival somewhere with the help of our sponsors and invite all of DawgNation. Bring some big names along.
Then we sit around for a few hours. That woulld be a good spot on this big mudball to just sit around and talk and laugh.
I'll help out with my nickels worth of knowledge on bourbon and grilling/smoking
we have a good bourbon/whiskey thread on here too
since BGE and Kamado Joe both have a huge presence in Atlanta you could probably convince a store there to host it. they'll get advertisement for their grills, and probably will light a few for cooking, and dawg fans can get together while supporting a local business
NYC nerd alert...actually Adam Perry Lang was in Hells kitchen and his bbq place has since close after he sold it.
Hometown in Red Hook is worth your time and Other Half brewing company is not far either
