- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Fleming, the sound of that puts a smile on my face!
According to 247:
CLEM UGA
2019 10 2
2018 7 1
2017 16 3
2016 11 6
2015 9 6
2014 16 8
2013 15 12
2012 20 9
2011 10 7
2010 27 11
2009 36 4
I'm not saying they won't be number 1 this year at all. I'm just not seeing them being some recruiting monster that is going to be fighting for every 5* we have our eyes on.
I don't know why my formatting didn't take, that looks ****, but it's the year and prospective class rank for the past 10 years. Highest they have been is 7, lowest is 36. Our lowest was 12.
Give me 2 nattys and we wouldn’t care about our class rankings either!
@ziggyholiday, with Clemson its hard to gauge their recruiting success based off those numbers. Clemson usually has far smaller classes then everyone else so their point total is going to be lower. Clemson is and will continue to be a thorn in our side until we can get atop the mountain. They've stolen KJ Henry, Xavier Thomas, Andrew Booth and Trevor Lawerence and almost got Clay Webb last year. Those are just the names I know off the top of my hand but I'm sure there's a few more
Can’t get em all. I think if we come out of this cycle with Arik, Washington, Paris, Sherman, and Ringo, I think we’ll forget all about Bresee and Murphy. I think the understatement of the 2020 cycle is locking up Broderick Jones. He’s stayed quiet for the most part but I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
B Jones - per @JeffSentell - doesn’t do the recruiting grind and show others do. UGA and Pittman still in a great spot with him.
That’s good news. Pittman needs to do his magic to keep him. I’ve heard teams cooled off because he’s pretty set at UGA. Again, that may be wrong, just what I’ve read on here
I certainly don't pretend to know anything about anything. So there is that.
Looking at the raw data though, it doesn't seem to me, that they are this monster recruiting school. Good for sure, but nothing like Bama, OSU, UF, Mich etc. But you **** sure can't argue with their results on the field!

Alright guys, I was wrong again on the timelines of these defensive commitments, including the big name. He will not announce today.
For grins I compared @SoFL_Dawg 's hot list ^^ to a Top 10 list from 247sports, published recently.
247sports had all of SoFla's recruits -either in its top 10 or its watch list - except for:
WR- Jennings Hudson Jarrett
ILB- Whitehead
DB*- Williams Pouncey
and no mention of a K
On the other hand, SoFla did not have these that were on the 247sports notables:
JULIAN FLEMING, 5-STAR WR, CATAWISSA (PA.)
Seth McGowan, 4-star RB, Mesquite (Texas)
Jordan Burch, 5-star SDE, Columbia (S.C.)
Given the number of names, not too shabby. Discuss.
Will they be committing soon (in the next week) or will they take more visits?
One was advised to take officials to be sure by Kirby and staff. The expectation is that this player will shut down his recruitment after his officials are complete and will be a key vocal influencer for recruiting on the national trail.
The other is pretty clear wants more buzz. I understand that as well because his name is hardly ever mentioned but he’s a stud at position of need.
Henning* for WR.
Avantae or Pouncey depend on numbers although I believe Pouncey should be at top of target list with Ringo based on tape.
Mcgowan is likely first RB on board following Milton and Lloyd and if we were to miss on one, I like him in this class as next best available. Lots of buzz on Kobe Pryor and his evals start next week I believe. I don’t see 2 misses to afford him the opportunity so I’d watch CU with him to pair with Bowman.
Whitehead checks off a lot of boxes in the intangible category.
Fleming will give us a hard look but this is one OV that the timing isn’t favorable for us. Still like CU and PSU in that order.
Dont see Burch in this class today.
There will be a kicker, hopefully a really good one that can financially supplement a year or so in the system prior to earning a full ride (Hot Rod model). Fountain isn’t the strongest asset there so looks like we’ll have to offer a full scholarship here. I think this will prevent a 3rd WR (assuming Holloman and Drob both declare), or 3rd LB (Flowe/Simpson), or a 4th DB (likely a true safety like Williams). I think if Pittman can convince his top 5 he’ll have them. DL likely ranks higher than WR, LB, DB in this class too.
Anybody know if the recruiting staff position firing/suspension is going to really affect the program? Or is this just one person having bad judgement? Not a good look for sure though
I would assume the staff is explaining it to recruits to ease their mind.
It will have very little to zero affect on recruiting. Unless something very inappropriate was occurring.
The relationship is with the coaches. Not the recruiting staff.
Anybody know if they’ll be hiring for the vacant recruiting position? Asking for a friend lol
I tried to start a thread on this to try and get more info but It was deleted. Any reason why? I’m just wanting to make sure this doesn’t affect us negatively or tremendously
Probably because another one was already active, with the same topic of discussion
