Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

If only we had more television options to choose from 😉
I'm all for inclusion and better representation of various minority groups, but the "woke" style is usually too overt. Instead of saying "insert minority can do anything" over and over just write a story where that happens. I don't think this is PC (du.mb term btw everyone has their own type of PC) but more a sitcom trope is the bumbling id.iot husband which is super annoying.
Do I sense some (non-political) bipartisanship here you guys?!
Really, "everyone has their own type of Political Correctness"? That has to be one of the du.mbest things I've ever read on the Internet. That's like saying everyone has their own form of Marxism. In fact Political Correctness in all it's current forms is wholly owned and propagated by liberals.

so much for bipartisanship...fun while it lasted
Bipartisanship? LMAO, that concept doesn't exist. It's WWI my friend and both sides have dug their trenches so deep they can taste Peking Duck!
The original use of the term was adherence to a particular set of political beliefs formed by certain groups. It has morphed into a pejorative term used by conservatives to stifle conversations on certain topics similar to shouting racism or SJW instead of arguing against the merits of the opposite position. For simplicity we can say the left has political correctness and the right has conservative correctness.
@Casanova_Flatulence
I would think someone with the handle @Casanova_Flatulence would have more of a sense of humor but I guess I was mistaken. I was making a joke about how the three of us were in agreement over a silly TV show and then it just devolved. I mean, heck, I even put in a non-political qualifier so this exact thing wouldn't happen.
My fault for thinking too much of people sometimes
Love your tortured logic. Perhaps this will help you.

I actually think the opposite. I think PC has long been a way for the left to silence all opposition. The moral shield they hide behind to keep from being criticized while they do just that in return.
@Casanova_Flatulence @RxDawg you are both arguing against straw men. I never said it doesn't exist and I've already established I don't support it especially within academic settings. Political correctness in its truest form is the attempt to control speech in a way that reflects the beliefs of a certain political group. You'd have to be insane to argue that this only occurs on the left. The article you just linked even says Trump engages in the same attempts to control speech as those students and nothing in the Peterson video would suggest that PC is only on the left.
So gonna be a wild end to game of thrones huh? Something we can all agree on yea?
Tyrion gonna choke a ****
This Donkey is flogged, dead and rigor mortis has set in. BUT, before I permanently exit this thread I have to say you're being disingenuous by placing such a limited scope on the definition of Political Correctness, as well as your Johnny Cochranesque attempt to deflect the primary association with progressivism. Modern progressive Political Correctness is inculcated across all forms of media, academics, politics, advertising and business practices.
If you really want to understand the origins and practices of Post Modernism and Political Correctness then review some of Jordan Peterson's long form commentaries on the subject. I pulled the first one to pop-up on the list. He goes into far greater academic review in other videos.
