Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Solid points, i think this one would only happen late in the cycle if at all.
I'll admit. Although there are some really positive and informative posters on here - I agree with @SoFL_Dawg . Getting difficult to read all the negative and unrealistic fan expectations.
Football is supposed to be fun.
I agree. I hate when 3-4 guys can ruin it for everyone else here just trying to read about the dawgs.
I hear you, but do think the culture and leadership in the locker room can go a long way in reining the after the whistle stuff in. That said, if there’s one position you want a player to play with an edge, it’s safety.
Combination of agressiveness, work rate, open field tackling technique and athleticism in the film reminded me of Rodney Harrison in his prime. Kid looks like he enjoys hitting vs just holding the ball carrier up until help arrives.
One concern is he’s a bit undersized at 5’11 170 for a safety in the SEC. He’d probably be all PAC-12 if he sticks with Oregon.
I’d like their chances with Ringo, Kimber & Williams in the secondary for 2-3 years.
Great point, @texdawg! Every team I coached, from youth to high school, used to hear this from me:
"What's football called?" - "A game!"
"And what are games supposed to be?"- "Fun!"
"Then put a smile on your face, go play the game, and have fun!"
Fans, coaches, players, and parents would all do well to stop and remember that on occasion.
What uncommitted targets are we leading for outright? If they were to commit today it would be us.
Milton
Tank
Arik
Washington
Ringo
Van pran
and probably cowan
.
time to get off the board and on the boat.
Milton next to commit...
unless there's a surprise barrage like last summer...
Nice. Thank you. Is Cowan the kid that got roasted at The Opening?
more than likely
HughDawg for president: College football IS very fun.
Please vote for me in 2020.
The “you s u c k” guy after going against Dumervil? Believe so.
What kind of loss will it look like to USCe if they don’t get Burch? Muschamp can go to every game, his mom stops by any time she wants, and it’s home. What kinda of hot seat will Muschamp be on when we land Burch?
What kind of loss? My answer would be funny.
They don't know their place in the college football world. They don't understand that what they get are the guys that Clemson, UGA and Alabama don't have room for. There are exceptions (Pickens last season), but they truly are exceptions and not the rule. Until they understand that, my answer remains; funny.
On the one hand, they do win "recruiting battles" against us. But they are generally for players who would fill the bottom half of our class. But once or twice a year they get an elite player like Pickens or Hilinski or Lloyd and it gives them confidence. I can see why they're confused. It's not like they are getting beat 99% of the time like Georgia Tech.
Pickens and Burch on the same d-line won’t be fun for anyone. At least we’d have the talent to neutralize them. USC also has Horn, and I believe a couple of other decent guys on the back end, so they could be a difficult team to pass against.
Simple solution? Just land Burch. Then we don’t have to worry!
Arian Smith got a huge bump by 247 (not the composite) all the way up to 28 overall and the no 5 WR in the country
Any more word on Omari Thomas at DT?
Smith Comp moved from 184 to 133
Tank moved from 50 to 31 in the composite.
