1 thru 4 in our line up compares well to anybody's. It's very symbiotic on top of individual stats.
We need to finish this game with a win and win at least 3 of 4 against Miami before The Mets come to Atlanta, they won their 13th of the last 14 games today. Then it's The Dodgers who have been the best in baseball to date.
If the pen blows this game I'll be very pissed.
Luke Jackson back at it. Getting crushed right now.
This is why I don’t like baseball in the afternoon during the week. I can’t drink beer when I need it most.
I'm encouraged by the bats seemingly coming back to life. Need some runs to make up for the bull****pen
Hopefully our little slump was a short one and in the rear view mirror now.
9-3 bottom 8. Of we can’t 2-3 from twins on the road that is awesome. The twins have more wins than us which I didn’t know
Might be time to send Luke down to Gwinnett and bring Webb or Sobotka back up.
The bullpen is so Jekyll and Hyde.
Swanson comes back does he go right back in the 2 hole?
Or does Albies stay there?
Not Sobotka, his control is awful.
I'd give Jackson a couple of more shots at mop up duty and see how it goes. Obviously the pen has been atrocious since the trade deadline. Can it stay this bad ?
I maintain what I said yesterday about the bullpen.
Can it stay this bad ?
A: No
If it was me I'd slide Swanson to the 5th or 6th spot to begin with and see how it goes. The current 1 thru 4 looks really good and it makes sense long term on paper.
Have to give the Mets credit too. They have been playing great.
Competition level is about to go up for them quite a bit.
Lets see if they keep it going.
I would keep Ozzie batting second as long as he’s having the kind of at-bats he’s had lately. His pitch selection has improved dramatically and him and Acuna seem to feed off each other. If Duvall continues his downward slide, I would consider playing Charlie in left field when Dansby returns , but I would hate not having his bat coming off the bench. It’s a shame that McCann isn’t able to play more often, I hate seeing Flowers hitting or behind the plate. Riley was put on the IL today with a sore knee, so he won’t be available for at least 10 days.
Came here to let everyone know Mets are one game out of a wild card. Remember how a couple weeks ago when we got Stroman there was no way we would make it? Too many teams to jump?
its on
They are 13-1 over their last 14 games. They might end up being our toughest challenge.
We will smash The Metropolitans like fresh poop through a tennis racket.
I think it’s safe to say if we are pitching to our potential, everyone else will want none of the Mets
