Its not on TV on the live stream the reported on it.
Evans also posted the loss has motivated him to beat Katy in December. @razorachilles
Par Epic has Stone QB #2 DT QB
Trinity has the Sanders QB (who also punts lol) #15 Pro Style
Edit point: Both hold UGA offers for 2021
And he posted "I love my team regardless" the day after the Katy loss, as well...lots of "insider" rumors about him being an issue but I've still seen nothing in his acts/words that show him to be anything but a professional and being a good team player.
Dont know how much you've seen (or others) have seen of him. He's all business on the field. He doesn't celebrate after big runs or TDs. Just tosses the ball to the ref and either runs to the huddle or sidelines.
I think the worst thing about all this is the day that means a lot to him where it all lined up game and supposed commit sucks.
@Thelordjohnson I agree - liked him even more after watching how he handled himself on the field and - perhaps more importantly - on the sideline in a game where he clearly wasn't a big part of the gameplan. Supportive of his teammates, not making it about him...this is why these rumors about him lashing out at coaches seem inconsistent with what limited exposure I've had to date with the player.
10x upvotes on your observation about having this nonsense happen on what has to be an emotional day for him to begin with. Heart goes out to him.
As far as Evans goes:
everyone knew we were giving the ball to Herschel... they stacked the box... He still ran wild.
Against a bitter rival, they gave him the ball 10 times or so... they lost... I’d be mad too. Not selfishly, you are the best player in Texas and that means something.
He is 17-18 years old, I wasn’t good at verbalizing my thoughts to adults at that age either.
Add that to the fact that most high school coaches try to act like Saban because “I was one injury away from a D-1 full-ride.”
cut the kid some slack... you don’t know the details.
Next to commit:
my son and I to a grindhouse burger and shake before the game tomorrow!

“I worked hard and this motivated me, even more, to keep pushing,” Reed told Dawgs247. “I don’t know too much about Georgia right now, but I plan on getting to know them more.”
“It is not set up yet, but I will be taking an unofficial,” Reed said.
Full transparency on Evans, I’m hearing takes from both sides of the fence from a couple of different sources. One side claims passionate kid who went a bit too far, other side claims there’s some “me” issues there and the “me” attitude is new; byproduct of the growing attention and fame.
I did hear about what was “supposedly” said by Evans and it wasn’t that bad but I could see the delivery taken out of context. During halftime game 1, Evans was in the locker room shouting to give him the f** ball and “I got us.” A coach approaches him to calm down and he responds “f** calm down, give me the ball.” As we know, Evans had 1 carry in 3rd quarter following that. 10 total for the game.
”Supposedly” Evans may have then told coaches their play calling was trash. There was a meeting that following Friday and whatever took place in that meeting earned him up to 3 game suspension. He did not play last night.
I’ve read about him cussing teammates and saying he quit and I’m not sure if any of that post is true. Maybe/maybe not.
My opinion is that this isn’t that bad. If it’s a culmination of a coach attempting to reel a player back in as the media circus has made him a lil hot to handle, I understand. If the coaches didn’t like the delivery/being challenged in front of their team, I understand. If Evans, in a high stress situation, couldn’t find the words to express himself, I understand. What I don’t understand is how this led to 3 games and that meeting happened behinds closed doors. My guess is that egos led to no one budging and here we are.
UGA staff does monitor this stuff closely. There was a player from last cycle that had rifts with coaches, transferred out, and effectively removed himself from our target list. He played well for SC last week. All I’m saying is, I don’t know what will happen here. I do strongly feel prior to this, we had the best chance to land his commitment. If he’s in this class, it obviously wasn’t a big deal. If we stopped pursuing, his actions was enough of a red flag to move on. We have to let this all play out.
PS-Been told verbatim we will not know his commitment date, FWIW.
Theres this now as well from the Recruitology IG page...
Yeah, pretty confident he was suspended but such is life. Hopefully he’s back to playing soon.
My slightly educated guess is that all this attention has created a lot of stress (I'm the #1 RB in national TV and it's not going well.) and likely an ego boost he doesn't quite understand how to process. Both parts are quite understandable. The trick is, are these short term issues that will get better with the support he'll get in college or will it go the other way.
Personally, I would give the kid a chance if everything SoFL reported is accurate. I'll trust the coaches. The fact that they are desperate for an RB will hopefully free then up to make the right choice. I can remember our desperation for a RB leading to some poor decisions in the past.
Yeah, I agree and think Evans is trying to down play it a little...
