Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Without starting an off topic thread, it’s true. They get grants and quotas (#s of in state vs out of state, women v men, minorities, international students) and requirements they have to meet when’s it comes to acceptance.
The uga music school offered a full ride to me for two majors(instruments ) and deans and professors wrote letters of recommendation, UGA hockey coaches wrote letters, alumni, etc I had 12 letter s of recommendation a ton of accolades and achievements. Extra curriculars off the charts. Crushed the act and sat, had a 3.5 gpa (Due to being so **** busy)
got denied acceptance
turned down full rides to Tennessee Florida’s and bama
went to cu Boulder.
It isnt merit based. It’s political guidelines etc
went to cu boulder
Music school offered you a full ride but you were denied acceptance?
Next to commit to the G 2020?
UF always runs to the academics excuse when talking about not being able to get players. If you check out their placement I think they are #9 and we are #13 in public universities.
Ugh.
I never got too mixed up in the politics of admissions. Fortunately God blessed me with the abilities he did and I didn’t have to worry too much about getting in. I respect the boulder choice @RedDawg that’s a beautiful campus.
back on topic: I’m taking Darnell Washington as next to commit
Wait is this the admissions thread?
I’m OLD SCHOOL on this site.
I remember when we used to talk recruiting on this thread.
Anyone notice that Dell went to watch Don Chaney Jr last night?
Keeping fires warm in case? Worst case scenario, is Chaney plan B, then maybe Lloyd?
Yeah I would think so. Looks that way.
Literally predicted this and got torched for it.
sheds light on where staffs head is at after finding out the details of the Evans situation.
Back a ways it was talking about why Bryan Bresee went to Clemson. I do not know how true it is but it was said that his girl friend was denied admission. Then as topics di it went into how hard it is to get admitted to UGA.
If he wants Chaney he’ll have to pick up the intensity though, lots of work to do there.
Lloyd still an option but didn’t impress in his national exposure moment last week. I watched him struggle to press the edges and I’m starting to wonder if he’s tapped out physically. Rocked up kid, but is he closer to his ceiling? Just something I’m beginning to question...
For the time being, I still think Evans is the priority target unless something else comes out from that private meeting. As Sentell pointed out, there does seem to be maturity challenges with him. I do feel that the talent is worth that stress because I think our locker room is mature and equipped to insulate him in certain ways. In a lot of respects, he’d just be another talented young man there too. He wouldn’t be THE man, and that could humble him, if needed. Maybe wishful thinking but assuming he returns to the field within next two weeks, maybe he’ll announce his choice soon after and everything will be all good for UGA.
Yeah to be clear, I wasn’t saying that is the why we lost Bresee but it may have contributed. 4 DL drafted post natty is why we lost Bresee. Also pretty confident she was denied admission.
