- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

A good exercise is to go through 247 since 2016 and see the guys Kirby recruited.....especially the players ranked from 100-250.
You'll notice a lot of misses....every school has them.
Aubrey Solomon twice. Derrick Brown was pretty much considered a sure thing. Big Kat Bryant silently committed twice to UGA. Owen Pappoe another. It happens to all teams a lot.
Who is Broderick Jones for $300
I don't really understand all of it (there's things that I'd have to look up), but it's pretty obviously street talk to me. The thing I think you can do is separate street talk from what you need to do in the classroom in English in the future, as I'm pretty sure many of my peers earlier in this decade did.
Only problem I have is going on about the coaches...a simple explanation that you wanted to make sure your parent got in and was going to be later that the phone curfew, but your coach didn't like the idea of this would have sufficed. I even just talked to my dad about it and he found it very strange and didn't blame the kid.
Anyway, hopefully Evans doesn't have these run ins when he's at Georgia and he's able to reach his potential.
No issues with him trying to defend himself/tell his side of the story, but taking shots at management on the way out the door didn't do Antonio Brown any favors either.
He's still just a kid and will mature (or not) once he's in the program. Sounds like he could really use a fresh start in a new environment.
Wishing him nothing but success on and off the field in the coming years. I think being an EE will help him aclimate to his new environment before the bright lights shine on the 2020 season.
Hey guys, I don’t post often at all, and not trying to start an argument on here, but please stop making fun of the young man’s grammar. He knows how to write correctly, it’s slang. It’s a bad look for fans of a program to be trashing players like this. And players see this kind of thing. Makes me feel the same way as “fans” booing players at games. It doesn’t help, and neither does disparaging this young man’s way of writing, wether or not you agree with his way of explaining the situation. He’s clearly very frustrated and tired of being made to look like a bad kid, so let’s not add to that. I’m just pumped for him to get to Athens, let’s celebrate that! I have watched his film so many times in the past year and have probably doubled that total since the news that he was more or less a lock to the Dawgs! Excited to see where our O can go! Go Dawgs!
I get it, but I wish he had taken this a bit more formally since he's attempting public relations.
Agree with you and if anything I posted appeared to be making fun of his grammar then I apologize because I wasn't. I understand it's slang. It's just that there are those of us older folk who don't understand the slang. Not saying I have any problem with it. I'm saying that I literally don't understand it.
I think she just meant slang tbh
I have heard many kids explain their side on cases like this. They are usually no where near the truth. Kids perspective are usually very skewed. I always try to tell them how much better it would have been if they had just said yes sir and done what the adults in charge said. Then you can explain your side. Problem is kids these days think what they want matters more and that the adults should listen to them first.
I understand that the university misses out on kids all the time. I’m talking about the forum itself or recruiting “experts”. I want her to be as excited as I am about the big 3 but because @SoFL_Dawg said so isn’t really cutting it lol.
“kids these days”
Should just say “kids”. Adolescents aren’t done maturing. Always been the case. It’s not different now. Every generation since the beginning of time has been convinced that every generation was normal up until this generation of kids. Truth is they are all the same and all unique in their own way. But the one thing all 17 year olds have had in common forever is that they aren’t done maturing. That doesn’t happen biologically until our mid 20’s.
Regarding Evans, he’s acting his age, which is to say less than perfect. But his coaches really fell short in their handling of everything. Those are grown folks who should know how to lead.
Glad I wasn't like that when I was a kid /s
Bro it's not a "kids these days" thing. It's a kid thing. Absolutely nothing wrong with kids these days that doesn't apply to kids 50 years ago. People live and learn. It's called "wisdom"
If Mom explained it as a family reason to Coach and Coach still took enough issue to suspend him over it then let's be honest..Coach was gonna find a reason or instigate one, one way or another. They were going to win this game with or without Evans because the other team lost their playmaker at QB. And I don't believe this was about instilling discipline.
In the end I have to thank Coach anyway. We've had freaky bad luck w/ some of our croots in the HS games. He who shall not be named injured his thumb, and Zamir had an ACL injury. Coach probably inadvertently saved Evans from the GA curse. Good guy in my book
