Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Of course not. goes against his carefully crafted narrative.
For independent schools in SC, fall sports practices begin today! Albeit with a bunch of modifications for football. Volleyball is pretty close to normal, with sensible changes (water bottles, locker rooms, etc).
Everyone is really excited.
I hope it works out. I would like kids to have some sense of normalcy again.
My brother tested positive as well about a week after my son. Only symptom he got was lack of taste and smell. His wife was having minor surgery but tested positive during pre-op. He was a little panicky because he is a cancer survivor and has ulcerative colitis. His Company required a negative test to return but the Doctor told him the new directive was to not test so his company said if the Doctor gave him a note he could return.
Yet your guy the great Fauci won't condemn protests where there isn't social distancing, because you can choose not to go to a protest but I assume you can choose not to go to a bar.
Fauci didn’t condemn the other political rallies either. He bent over backwards to say both type of gatherings lead to the spread of the virus. And he said the risk is greater inside in close spaces.
Didn't yaledog post an article stating the protests have not led to an uptick in confirmed C-19 cases? Hmmm.
I’m not taking a position on it. I just reported what I heard Fauci himself testify before Congress.
And it's still true
I can and I do but I can't make the person that chooses to go a bar wear his mask in the grocery store.
It's hard to listen to SportsCenter these days...
Paul Finebaum may be one of my least favorite people ever.
Interesting comparison in growth of cases between Minnesota, Texas, and Florida. Notice how daily new cases in Minnesota never go above 750 while Florida and Texas go from around 500 to above 10,000 in about a month.
It does seem incredible that a virus is so deadly and contagious that kids can't go back to school or college, can't dare compete in sports. Families shouldn't take vacations.
Certainly can't worship at church or attend a loved ones wedding or funeral. Too contagious for that.
And you small restaurant and bar owners.....we realize it's difficult on you....but your sacrifice is fot the greater good. Not for your family and your employees..... but for everyone else.
Really only 3 safe things to do.
1. Stay indoors
2. Shop at HD, Lowes or Walmart.
3. Protest in the streets. .....or riot and destroy property.
Research has shown those 3 things don't spread the virus
Every expert on infectious disease pretty much agrees that the highest risk activities for catching COVID-19 involve prolonged contact with large groups of people indoors while wearing no PPE. If individuals wear PPE, limit prolonged contact + physical distancing, move outdoors, or a combination of these measures the risk of contracting COVID-19 decreases. No one has said HD, Lowes, or walmart has mystical powers to prevent transmission. I get lunch at a tiny mom and pop deli pretty frequently, and they follow guidelines for reducing transmission and still do good business. Several other mom and pop restaurants and grocery stores in the area have done the same. A lot of experts were worried about the protests causing a spike in cases, but it never came. It seems compliance with wearing PPE while being outdoors was enough to limit transmission in large crowds. I'm honestly surprised that turned out to be the case, but that's what the data say.
I think weather has a lot to do with the rise in cases across the south and southwest. People are indoors with the extreme heat (such as dining indoors without a mask in July/August) when it's really hot, as opposed to those states that have more bearable summers and can dine outdoors (MN in this case). Not many talk about that factor, since it really doesn't help either side's position.
Look at Colorado for example. They re-opened 3 days after GA and haven't seen a crazy spike like the southern/southwestern states.
