Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

But you're assuming he didnt say anything about racism there. What he did point out was he was pulled over, searched, and not only did he not get a ticket he also asked for body cam footage that they couldnt provide. Best I could say is sketchy. He pointed to two racist things that are fact based the cop stuff is ridiculous and sad.
Man, I really hope somehow everyone's able to come together soon. As a fan base, football team, nation. The division in our culture is so blatantly obvious its even showing up on college football message boards. I hope Otis has a better time at Mississippi where he can probably play more thanks to a lack of talented depth. I'm also glad that CKS has been so responsive to the social issues that our players have brought up to him during this past 6 months. It sucks that we won't ever really have a chance to know if these accusations are true or not (not the ACCPD accusations because I 100% believe that happened), but it will all be fine eventually. Kirby's the man for the job during these times, and I'm glad we've got him. Three days 'til kick off y'all.
A student calling you a name is not grounds to declare an entire university as an unhealthy or racist environment, or whatever they want to call it. I went to a primarily hispanic university my first year and was called all kinds of names. Otis is implying there is a systemic racist problem at UGA simply because he got pulled over a couple of times and some dumb-azz student called him a name and there was some vague whipping incident. Hardly the stuff that demands waivers.
@SoFL_Dawg how is this affecting recruiting right now ? Has there been any blow back of chatter ?
Buddy buddy buddy stop it man... He said he there was racist events on campus. Fact Justin Fields was called a N-Word.... Fact there is video a white frat had a **** party ON VIDEO a white kid says "pick that cotton B****" then whips someone (who says "Im not even black") in the background they say, "You didnt say it right" he corrects himself "pick that cotton N-Word" theres video and the frat was suspended from campus. You may have experienced being called things best I can say to you is stop comparing your experiences and show empathy and listen to his experience with out judgement. Anything else man you got it you win andn8 bow out for real.
Apparently he did get tickets and citations per his statement. I missed that the first time around. Wish he would say what they were for.
I stand corrected... First ticket is cited as "distracted driving" and the second as a passenger "lane violation"
Where’d you find them?
they mentioned one and Twitter mentioned the other
Just to say... I believe he and Cade should sit a year oer SEC transfer rules. If they went to say Michigan and somewhere else I could care less
Tom Mars is a liar. UGA did not block Justin's attempt to gain immediate eligibility to play. OSU's AD said this himself: https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2019/02/102446/gene-smith-applauds-georgia-ncaa-for-working-with-ohio-state-to-allow-new-quarterback-justin-fields-to-play.
Also, Fields, the most high profile player to transfer from UGA, got rotten, vitriolic reactions from a segment of our fan base. Still, a couple of weeks ago he wanted to attend and was allowed to attend a UGA practice. Yet, Smart is a coach who succumbs to the demands of angry, retaliatory UGA fans and back stabs his former players? Thomas Mars is a joke.
Thanks. Sounds like he was texting and driving. As to what was said and done by the cops during the encounter, who knows.
Not from GA do you guys have a "playlist law" basically allowing you to change music via the phone?
Classic DWB
No. It’s a pretty strict law.
Maybe, maybe not. You don’t really have any way of knowing whether that was the officer’s motivation, so you probably shouldn’t make that claim.
Is that a thing? If so, what a bunch of nonsense. The point of laws preventing texting while driving is not about texting being bad, it's about reducing distracted driving. It's amazing how we've normalized the idea that a person is given a lifetime certification to operate a multi-ton vehicle based on showing capability to do so for 10-15 minutes.
I remember being so thrilled about Otis coming here, hoping we'd see some real slobberknocking. Alas, didn't work out. Hoping for the best for him and for our program, but hard to see how at least one of those two parties doesn't come out unscathed here.

Yeah its a way alot of people beat tickets. But theres also no law against texting in a few cities Ive been in.
