Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Valerian has helped me - especially since retirement.
Defense is easier to get ready than offense
Especially our defense
Tex, I don't know if you saw my comment the other day about Modelo- I think it was on one of @donmedeiros's threads- but I encouraged folks to try the Negra if they have only had the Especial. I love both, but a lot of folks never get around to the former, and it's really great. (Clean and crisp and not at all heavy, like many people assume a dark beer would be.) I like 'em both with a lime.
I've just never been a dark beer fan. But I know alot of people that love the Negra. Always have some on the fridge.
I don't even drink Shiner Bock....which is crazy in Texas.
I'm not a big fan of Shiner Bock (though I've never had to deal with the Texas pressure!). But I'd bet you $1 you wouldn't know the Negra is a dark beer if you drank it blindfolded. 😉
Surprised they haven’t tried to hang you yet. My experience in Texas is if you’re drinking beer it’s a shiner.
Shiner is big.....no doubt
could also go lone star beer...which is pretty flavorful water
Nooooooooooo on Lonestar or Pearl Beer.
Reading the "Arkansas is better than what most people believe thread" makes me wonder if anyone has pondered starting up an alternate thread.
"Georgia is better than what most forum members currently believe."
I have a good grasp of Georgia football history and wanted to flesh out the perceptions from my studies and recollections of some of the best Bulldog teams in history.
Georgia's teams since 1960 which lost no more than two games:
This is what history tells us about first games and what would be great football Georgia teams.
Across the last 60 years, I'd like to point out the following trend. ........
Friends - That is a pretty noteworthy trend about UGA and openers that don't live up to a certain standard.
My theory #1: It is just one game. First games have proved to be a poor indicator of a future great Georgia team.
My theory #2: When UGA plays its first game each fall, there are a lot of distractions on the campus that might affect a football team's focus. That seems like a clear constant or control factor in this study.
Also worth noting: The Bulldogs opened up with a team which failed to win 8+ games the year prior in 12 of the last 15 highly-successful seasons the program has enjoyed.
Consider yourself warned about the smell though.
Re-watched part of last week’s game last night. On the initial watch, the difference between Mathis and Bennett was so stark, I had come to think of the change in offensive performance as being immediate. The truth is we looked pretty bad for a while when Bennett first came in, too.
I think the Dawgs O just had a bad first game. They’re dealing with a tougher D this game, but I think we’re going to be pretty pleased with our O as the season goes on. We just need the D to hold serve while the O gets things together.
@texdawg i hope our fan base is watching that score on that Arkansas/ Miss state game😂
😬. Apologies, depth of talent should be same on both them teams. Hope Pittman can pull one out.
