Looking like we're going to find out lol
Lol. Yep, we'll see. Big Ten going to do everything they can to get OSU there.
Given the league protocols and the outbreak at OSU discovered on Friday, there should be no way that OSU would play this coming Saturday....but they haven't cancelled yet.
Time to revisit this thread for some reflection on these assured opinions. And possibly an opportunity for a few told you so's....and maybe some $ on the line. @tfk_fanboy
Yup. Let's see what happens
Don't get me wrong, I despise Ohio State and am rooting hard for them to lose. I suspect that officials are getting halftime calls from Big Ten big-wigs reminding them that the whole reason that they played the season was for $$$ and Ohio State CFP spot. You know, just a subtle reminder.
My guess is that Ohio State is in with a win (which, let's be real, it's still a LOT more likely to happen than not) but the little that I've seen and the things that I've heard suggest that unless they have something up their sleeve big time, Alabama is going to love on them tenderly.
They won't deserve it, though. They were much better in 2019 I think. Oklahoma is probably more deserving right now even though they have two losses as they've been on fire of late, and I doubt they'd have a good chance vs Alabama either.
Northwestern isn’t rolling over. Making a game of it. Hope they win and get in the playoffs with Bama, Clem and ND. Okies and other left-out schools would pitch a xxxxfit if that happens. Need an eight-team playoff with 5 conference winners and 3 at-large teams making the playoffs.
What's your charity?
Let’s be honest, rules were changed midstream (just last week actually) so ohio state could be included. They did not earn it and DO NOT deserve it.
Like to upvote that 100X. So obvious!
All politics. Always has been. OSU and the media darling Irish will guarantee that the northeast will watch the semi’s. And after their annual embarrassing destruction in the semis, we all get to watch a real football game a week or so later.
For sure. Adjusted amount of games to make the conference championship. Adjusted quarantine time for players. But I expected more from the committee and I'm always happy to donate to a good charity. Even if it means Ohio State made the playoffs lol
Good man. I would have been happy to do the same if it meant Ohio State missing the playoffs. Those arbitrary rules never really mattered...it was always going to lead to this. Big Ten and committee wanted OSU to be one of the four from day 1 and would have done anything they could to get this outcome. Only thing that would keep them out was a loss, and that was never going to happen against the garbage Big Ten this year. Will private message you my charity.
got it, happy to contribute to that cause.
