I’m not nearly as knowledgeable about college basketball as I am football. I do love it, and I will always pull for the Dawgs although I’ve never felt they were ever tournament contenders sadly.

My question is, could a coach like Hayes make us relevant as far as the tournament goes or would it take a complete new approach program wide to get us there?

My feeling is that top level success is more about acquiring top athletes than it is about developing them. Is this take wrong in your opinion?

I would love to see our Dawgs competing in the tournament every year. Can getting the right coach get us there and change the trajectory of our program?

I think the expectation level should be lowered. If he gets in the dance every year, recruits Atlanta well, he will do well. I don’t feel like that’s a lot to ask.

I would be very happy to be pulling for the Dawgs in the big dance, no matter if they were a #1 seed or a #16 seed.

I agree, making the tournament is not asking too much. We should be highly disappointed if we don’t make the field of 64. Hopefully we will get there soon!

There needs to be big investments in basketball. It’s been said since I was a student 32 years ago. New arena, NIL money and… money spent in other ways. Until that happens, we are stuck being the Vanderbilt of the SEC in basketball.

Even Vanderbilt isn't the Vanderbilts of the SEC in basketball ?

forget the uga spin section that says we don’t recruit the same as everyone else. Some insane articles out there. We are the kings of recruiting in f ball and everyone loves and expects it. Nil deals will ease the tension of having to go thru so many handlers. Giving the new guy an advantage. We have beat this to death on these boards in the fox days. Do like Kirby. Figure out the rules. Then go get ‘em.
