Doubtful we'll make make the playoffs if we have to play .680 ball. But it seems like we can get back to respectability. Strider and Acuna are back. And Acuna is on fire.

We've had some gut-wrenching losses. That game where we opened with a 5-0 lead only to lose stands out. Series sweeps by the Giants and Padres earlier this month added to our inexplicable start.

Still, confident we can play better. It's that bullpen that worries me. Strong group of relief pitchers that have failed to deliver. I just don't understand it.

Baseball is a funny game - very possibly the origin of the adage "if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans". I doubt I'll ever figure it out. Also makes me wonder - does good pitching beat good hitting or does good hitting beat good pitching. That's something we can argue about when the SBIV debate dies down,

Didn't see this one coming. Bravos lose 10-1. Wasted a 15-strikeout performance by Grant Holmes. Oh, well. The hole just got deeper.

For the Atlanta Braves baseball team, 2025 will simply be remembered as a year that was, and hopefully many Braves players will add to their own personal, and professional development, and improve their individual player skills throughout this very, very tough year. GO BRAVES!!!

If nothing else, Drake Baldwin and S. Schwellenbach came into their own.

Good win for the Bravos. Sale and Strider teed up for the next two.

If they are going to turn it around this would be a good time to do it.

I caught the game late. Braves down 4-1 with two outs in the bottom of the eighth, but with the bases loaded. Ozuna with a terrific at bat nailing an inside pitch (which looked off the plate to me) for a bases-clearing double to tie it up.

Riley with one out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th hits a deep drive near the wall on the first pitch that the centerfielder made a great play on, but never had a chance to throw out Williams tagging up from third. Braves win 5-4.

I could've scored on that fly ball.

Agree. This is the best time to do it. For the 2025 Bravos, these divisional games are a necessity. They have to make up ground on their division foes. They seem to be on a bit of a roll - hitting is a little better, pitching still good. Especially nice to see Iglesias come in a high leverage situation and perform up to his abilities. Fingers crossed that the hitting continues while we have two of our aces scheduled. Might it be time to add Schwelly to the "aces" list?

Sale had a lot fun last night - 5 hits and no runs over 8 2/3 innings pitched. A real gem. I wish we had 4 more of him. '

Young Strider goes tonight for a sweep of the series. Fingers crossed.
