Braves give up Louis Braun (# 8 prospect and Carter Holton, unranked prospect). A bit underwhelming but Lane Thomas is a flexible guy with both speed and some power.
Boys are on a roll now. Would be great to get out the brooms tomorrow.
I do think this was an atypical night for Jarvis. He really has provided a lot of offense since being inserted into the lineup. His OPS is up to .728, above the league average. I must add, I hope this was an atypical night. If the errors continue, it might be Dubon time.
The Braves have 20 million on the hook. Granted, insurance has paid a lot of the money, to date, but Kim is going to get an opportunity now that he is healthy. I have no idea how much the premiums cost on those policies and I was surprised the team didn't try to trade him.
Maybe they did. Can't imagine there would be many takers.
Braves winners again! Swept the 4 game series and have now won 5 in a row!
They are now 12 & 5 since the all-star break.
Olson homered again- 31 for the year
Great job by the pen in a close game.
Yup. Nats are headed to Philly we wish them a quick turnaround from this 4 game sweep.
We get the Marlins at home.
Phillies leading today they need to win to keep it at 8. This time of year though staying at 8 is a win for the Braves. Another day off the calendar.
We may need that magic number soon.
AA decided to sleep in today & had the team running on autopilot. Shaking my head on this one.
Oh well, looking like one of those division winners and first round exits.
I'll have to admit I expected more. Maybe he assumes AJ and Schwelly can really provide a boost in Sept Oct? Strider is done we know that.
Eli White to the Red Sox for a reliever was ok. Getting Lane Thomas kind took Eli;s spot anyway.
Maybe. I heard on the broadcast the other night the team was 52-55 at this point in 2021. Of course they were very busy that year and got a bunch of OF help.
Always thought they might switch Fuentes back to Starter if Suarez got back. They might anyway now.
We just need one person to pair up with Sale. Then Id feel ok about it.
That's rolling the dice and hoping for triple 7s.
Yeah and only rolling two dice. Probably not gonna happen.
Yep, relying on the old "internal options" route. AA loves that line.
