Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans

- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum

- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Let me ask the obvious question. If you are banned, and only getting an error code when logging in--how are you still posting on this forum?

It may only pop up when the forum cosmically senses you are in a bad mood--looking to sling insults around.

Actually I usually have to reboot before I can access the site after leaving it. It's still entirely possible there was an attempt to block me. Till I'm either locked out completely or management requests my absence, I'll keep posting. I have no doubt there have been requests by some posters that I get banned.

It’s time for you to install some anti-virus software. There’s free software that does it. I used the Tom’s Hardware site to evaluate stuff like that. I’d tell you what I use, but I’d have to go downstairs and check my Windows box I rarely use any more.

I use Avast and Adblocker plus. I'm reasonably sure it's not a virus.

Having to reboot constantly just to get on this site. If your computer is really old, you need to buy a new one. If it’s fairly new, I’d go through the trouble of reinstalling Windows.

It's a new computer and the problem is just at this site, I turned off my adblocker, it didn't help.
I'm fairly sure this is coming from this site's administration.

Ahhhh new computer just recently I see....some of these cheap freebie type boards which this is one, new updated Winblows 10 will give you a 404 and 403 errors all the time. If you are using Linux or Android based system from your phone or tablet if you have one trying logging in with that and see if you get the error......

It's not new, new, it's about 14months in service. I said new to clarify it's not dated.

It's a Lenovo Ideapad with 250 gb SSD, 8 gigs of memory, etc. It's not the most expensive, but it's not cheap either. Plus, I've never once gotten the 403 code at another site.

Nothing nefarious other than the software with the board and a bug in your OS. If the admin wanted to ban you they would just do it and be done with it

Never getting the error on another site means it could be the URL you are using for this site.

If you access the site through a bookmark sometimes, check the bookmark’s URL.

They already went through you clear your browser cache, right?

Try a different browser on the same machine to access this site. If the different browser works, that means it’s something with the configuration of the browser you’re using now.
