Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I’ve seen on CNN where they’ll just casually admit they’ve changed the definition of racism and made it much broader. And they’re fine with that and they don’t think it’s an insult to previous generations who’ve had to work to fight against actual racism at all.
Gather around all of my forum brethren and sisteren and I'll give you all the solution to all of this. It's the solution to racist, conflict, discord, dissention, hatred, division, violence, war, prejudice and anger of any sort towards one another....a wise man once told a small room full of men and women; 'This is my last commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you.' Soon after, they would know how much that man loved them, when he was crucified and died for them. That man? Jesus Christ. If everyone followed that commandment.....???????
That's all I have to say on the matter, carry on with the arguing if it makes you feel better.
@DCochran So you’re gonna bring religion into this **** and then act like it’s everyone else who’s arguing??!
So here's a question for you. Why is it "OK" for one side to have an opinion that it is "OK" to kneel, but if the other side voices their opinion that it's not "OK" then they are just **** and ignorant and prejudiced and racist? Isn't the same constitutional right for one side to voice their opinion the same constitutional right for the other side? I'm asking for a friend
well, I can't answer that because it is not something I believe nor is it something I have voiced. you should try asking that question to someone who believes that
your friend sounds like an idiot for asking me that question.
dawgnms. No doubt there are many real issues and people who advocate causes for good and even noble reasons Unfortunately there are people in this media saturated age who use causes as career devices. There are some nationally known people who claim injury and make demands on practically a daily basis, they are like the Kardashians of the social justice world.
Ive never understood how kneeling is disrespectful tbh. At our church we kneel to hear the Gospel
You're so right, that was very judgemental of me to say 'arguing' I apologize...you all can continue discussing the matter, but that's my two cents worth. That is what I should have said.
Fair enough., but tell us who said "anyone who disagrees is an idiot"? It only seems fair that someone would credit you with making an implied statement directly after you did the exact same thing to someone else. It was a fair conclusion given the assumption you were making regarding the previous response.
Asking for @jesupdawg's idiot friend.
plenty of people seem to think anyone who disagrees with them is an idiot. in this thread alone non-violent protesters have been called losers, ****, and more
you can disagree with what they are protesting but the very act of non-violent protest is pretty dang American
the outrage culture impacts both sides and so does the snowflake emotional responses
And after all Kaep sat at first before a teammate, and vet, suggested that kneeling would be a more respectful way to protest
It was explained to Kaep that when the folded flag is presented to the family of a warrior who made the ultimate sacrifice that the presenter kneels, had nothing to do with standing when the flag is being raised or lowered.
I was just messing with you. It was a joke. What you said was fine. It probably even helped the thread.
Kind of reminds me of the old George Carlin joke:
"Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?
We all tend to think we're right...
Haha - I can think of a lot of Carlin jokes/observations apropos this board.
