- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

i have heard quite the opposite. I have heard he took a "liking" to Athens a little too much and mamma and daddy were not thrilled with his level of party habits.
No and I am aware that others have moved. It is unlikely that his and his gf parents also move. Don't know his, her and their families thoughts, I was just going on "most likely" scenario.
Hard to take a Florida boy out of Florida and partially move his family. Being from Florida , I don’t think I could live in any other state even if I have to deal with the UF, FSU, UM fan bases on the reg.
Next up , Van Pran imo
Might be true regarding pulling the family out of Florida - but players haven't had a difficult time leaving the state for some time.
True, wasn’t really referring to them leaving for college but rather moving to live in another state. I follow lots of ex players and the ones from Florida always make their way back here after their years in the NFL. I see a lot of them right here in Miami . Many of them and also others not originally from FL have their home base here in the late winter / spring into summer as offseason training is big here.
The reality here is that Williams may not be the player that those concessions would be made for. I think we’re looking at it one sided and asking “what does Williams want to do?”. The question really is, “How much value does Williams bring in our staffs mind”?
UGA has resources established to assist in situations like this. We took several players last year, 1 big name from mid west that already have children. This isn’t a new concept but does staff value the player enough to wait on a decision or continue to pursue them. That’s the real question and we don’t fully know the answer to that, but I’m leaning to staff isn’t going to wait here.
Key point there, its Miami. Better weather to train and have a winter home. Same reason that pro golfers all move to FL or Arizona.
Remove Miami and the southern part of FL in general and the north is just an armpit. Nobody is lining up to live in the middle of FL.
Well being that the most populated areas In Florida are along the coast , yes the middle of Florida is somewhat desolate and actually I kinda compare it to everywhere in Georgia not named Atlanta or Athens. It’s just not ideal. No offense to anyone lol. My Grandad was born and raised in Athens and its a special place. Funny thing is most people from Southern Florida compare North Florida being more like Georgia. I’m From St. Augustine btw so I see both sides
I can understand that. I try to not put all my stock into camps and put gaming talent into effect but Williams looked very choppy in the camp settings I watched . I know His comparison is lecounte but I feel lecounte is a more fluid athlete than Williams
It wasn’t his best showing and he’ll probably get passed as #1 S but he’s a hell of a player. I think staff only wants to worry about a few position groups/players headed into the season and his likely isn’t one of them.
As soon as Conley is given a green light it’s over for DB. I’d imagine that’s been communicated to Williams.
Thats my point, Miami is one thing, a couple big cities on the coast are another and the rest, nothing special.
Pulling kids from FL to play college ball and dreams of pro are not as hard os you might think. OSU (w Meyer) / Bama had/have been doing it for years. Big Boy programs go where they want and “get what they want”.
His film looks legit. Would def like to have him to keep him from UF. DBs from Florida def have a strong hold on the program at this point.
Your last line speaks volumes to me. More times than not, FL DBs are safe bets.
@CZCashvilleDawg Not denying that at all. I mean all of Tuas family moved from Hawaii to Tuscaloosa after Talia wanted to play for the tide also. Talk about moving from paradise to an armpit 🤨
