Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

That was strong.
I agree on the philosophy and breakdown, Mr. Sentell. That’s indisputable. I postulate that there are varying degrees of execution, and different styles resonate with different recruits, even within the larger millennial demographic.
If it were me, the dancing goobs wouldn’t hold sway over someone like kirby or saban. They cut up and bust a move too but in a way that seems much less forced to me. From the clips I see as a casual fan, Dabo and Mullen’s gooberness knows no bounds.
Get off my lawn?
(If anyone cares, I’m between young Gen X and Elder Millennial.)
Great write up Jefe’. Have wanted him since staff first got him on campus. Can’t wait!
This is the comment I need on a Tuesday morning at work. Thank you
So. what psychological insight is coach Mullen trying to get across to this disinterested party?
after that read on Sewell i expect him to commit today!!!!
Z Walker - post uf smash (hopefully sooner)
DW or Theo - Mid Nov
Sewell - Thanksgiving
Top HS prospects don’t flip their choice based on outcome of one game. Probably the most repeated mistake I see in recruiting threads is making this assumption.
*Most dont*
As this is recruiting and nothing is exact. there is always the chance of an outlier / against the grain move
My goodness what a read Jeff. I clearly was already a fan of the player, but now I'm a fan of the young man that he is. Also, pretty awesome seeing the LB room going paintballing!
Really good article, thanks Jeff. Absolutely love the way staff recruits players, that paintball story looked really fun.
From the few things I’ve read on Noah he seems like a very genuine and down to earth good guy. Loved his comments about the second teamers. This is 100% the kind of player we want on our team, and 110% the kind of person you want in your program.
Agree with both CZ and ESP here. CU recruits are unlikely to flip. I haven’t heard Bresee and UGA mentioned together since March, and that’s when it was clear we had lost.
For some targets, such as Gervon Dexter, the message our staff is selling (better development, better college experience, more meaningful games) is contingent on the “proof being in the pudding”. fu messages to Gervon is that he is the missing piece on that defense. He is a catalyst that can get them back to where they were last decades. His family, 4 hours away can consistently see him play. The DL consistently creates havoc and the system allows for that. That message holds water if fu continues to win 10-11 games. It’s also where his heart is.
Our message to Gervon is that we don’t have enough twitchy 3-techs. We have the edge rushers, we have the gap pluggers, we need guys like you. Pair up with your friend Jalen Carter and shine under the biggest stages. We can keep you fresher so when you’re on the field, you can make the most impact; your body will be fresher when you get to the NFL because we rotate players. This is the long play strategy. This is the business decision. We have to continue to win and create havoc and showcase the 1 on 1 matchups we feel Gervon would win if he were in a similar situation. Some of those 1 on 1 matchups are not consistently won today by our interior guys.
So wins and losses will matter here but it will not come down to one game. 9-3/8-4 for fu will solidify the message especially considering everything else going on down there. The rest is will Gervon stick to making a biz decision. We’ll see.
Not really on topic, but are schools allowed to provide rooms or subsidize hotel costs for visiting parents? I'm guessing a lot of players' parents try to make most games their kids play in but, other than staying out in Winder for the weekend, it seems those costs would add up pretty quickly (based on any game day hotel search I've ever done). Any insight on hotel rooms set aside specifically for them?
The @SoFL_Dawg coffee cup gif on International Coffee Day in response to an article about a certain ILB that plays like he's 100% caffeinated.
Gonna be a great day!
I don’t know the rules. @JeffSentell
