Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Covid-19

Well, I think by next year most people will have been exposed to some level and have built up natural immunities. Yes, I am sure people will get Covid-19 next year, but it shouldn't be nearly as bad as this year. If you don't get it this year but get it next year...you will most likely be fine (unless you are elderly and have immunodeficiency issues). And yes, everyone should get the flu shot every year. However, annual flu shots are based on what the medical community predicts to be the prevalent strain for that year. There is no vaccine for all flu viruses. That's why you can get the shot and still get sick.
From the CDC: "Every flu season is different, and influenza infection can affect people differently, but millions of people get flu every year, hundreds of thousands of people are hospitalized and thousands to tens of thousands of people die from flu-related causes every year. An annual seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to help protect against flu...The seasonal flu vaccine protects against the influenza viruses that research indicates will be most common during the upcoming season."
What?
You don’t even have a trace of German accent
No, I'm actually Hitler because I think downplaying COVID is dangerous
You are calling anyone who disagree with you "incredibly wrong", biased, political hacks.... Sounds very intolerant of differing positions. None of this entire thread has been "dangerous".
Get out of here! There is no place for data in the face of a EPIDEMIC PANIC! Ahhhhhh!!!!
I don’t think anyone here is saying that there isn’t a risk or that it isn’t a real disease. You have some that are viewing this as either panic or youre a denier.
I’ve seen a few historical documentaries that all started when a countries leadership had the “responsibility” to stamp out “dangerous opinions”.
I think we are getting close to schools totally cancelling spring practices, not just the game.
So I’m in medical field. I can tell you guys this is getting serious and is forcing a modification of behaviors by medical professionals. Sharing a vid that offers some clarity on the bug. We don’t know much about it right now.
Disregard vid. Too big to play and I can’t zip. Basically the avg person touched their face ~600 times daily. Try to not touch face. Unknown if bug is being transferred from hard surface to open orifice (mouth, eyes, nostrils, wound, etc). Maintain distance of ~6 FT of anyone showing symptoms (coughing, sneezing, fever, chills, sweating profusely). Avoid touching anything those individuals have touched. Wash hands for 60 seconds with soap, “vigorously”. Hand sanitizer may or may not work, unknown.
It you’re 60+ avoid mass gatherings.
Knock it off with the Hitler stuff. It’s just a silly thing to say.
Lol I struck a nerve, please tell me where I mentioned Democrats? Also with the rate of how this thing is multiplying what would have stopped it besides freezing international travel? If you have all the answers why aren’t you stopping it?
