Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Ok say you don't catch it this time around. Won't it still be around forever and can't you still catch it next year? It seems inevitable that one will be around it. So should I start getting a flu shot (when they make a vaccine for this one).? I have never gotten one because I don't get sick too often . Not everybody goes to the doctor when they have the flu so I wouldn't know if I have ever had any other strain of virus.
Yeah probably should. The incredibly wrong but confidently loud crowd is out in full force now.
Welp the SEC just canceled the tournament.
In the post before this you started it off by calling someone "a political hack". So who is this confidently loud crowd you speak of? How about turning down the insults and arrogance. People are asking legitimate questions and there is actually some decent information and conversation in here.
What happened to tolerance for differing positions? If you don't agree then you are incredibly wrong.
Na this is pretty entertaining
I'm calling a spade a spade. You happen to agree with him politically so you never call him out. He's not bringing anything of value. He doesn't think its serious
We shouldn't tolerate dangerous opinions. Where did I bring up tolerating opinions? Again your showing political bias dominates your thinking.
Well, I think by next year most people will have been exposed to some level and have built up natural immunities. Yes, I am sure people will get Covid-19 next year, but it shouldn't be nearly as bad as this year. If you don't get it this year but get it next year...you will most likely be fine (unless you are elderly and have immunodeficiency issues). And yes, everyone should get the flu shot every year. However, annual flu shots are based on what the medical community predicts to be the prevalent strain for that year. There is no vaccine for all flu viruses. That's why you can get the shot and still get sick.
From the CDC: "Every flu season is different, and influenza infection can affect people differently, but millions of people get flu every year, hundreds of thousands of people are hospitalized and thousands to tens of thousands of people die from flu-related causes every year. An annual seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to help protect against flu...The seasonal flu vaccine protects against the influenza viruses that research indicates will be most common during the upcoming season."
What?
You don’t even have a trace of German accent
No, I'm actually Hitler because I think downplaying COVID is dangerous
You are calling anyone who disagree with you "incredibly wrong", biased, political hacks.... Sounds very intolerant of differing positions. None of this entire thread has been "dangerous".
Get out of here! There is no place for data in the face of a EPIDEMIC PANIC! Ahhhhhh!!!!
I don’t think anyone here is saying that there isn’t a risk or that it isn’t a real disease. You have some that are viewing this as either panic or youre a denier.
I’ve seen a few historical documentaries that all started when a countries leadership had the “responsibility” to stamp out “dangerous opinions”.
