Needed Duncan to take him to the next level.
All-time great man...as a basketball player, I'd take plenty of centers before him
Agreed.
Feels like that’s my top 7.
Perhaps slightly veering slightly away from MJ and the Bulls, and being as this is a Georgia forum??? I'd like to take a moment to mention Georgia's own Dominique Wilkins!! Although he had some flaws in his game (like being a outright ball hog) his reputation as the NBA's "Human highlight show" was well deserved, and I thought he was ROBBED in the famous slam dunk contest between he and MJ. I know, I know MJ was (and also still IS) the greatest, but IMHO Dominique was better on THAT particular day.
Agreed! He was, he best MJ twice!
My Top SF all time:
Nique was a bad man. What I loved most about him was he jumped off of two feet and some of his best dunks came on the rebound.
No Pierce? I’d put him ahead of Hill- longevity- I can also see Khawi moving up that lost and a few SF from this era gettin on this list once their careers are complete. Today’s SFs are deepest it’s ever been.
Was Pierce a 2 or 3? He’s top 20 for sure and the longevity point hits home. Never considered him as an equal talent to a Hill though.
If Pierce is a 3, do we put McGrady at 3 because he switched latter part of his career like Pierce did. Same for Vince. I’d put both of them ahead of Pierce.
Hilarious!
I apologise for missing the Timmy D love. I must have skipped a page o something.
He was really good. Won a lot of rings with a lot of different pieces playing a lot of different roles.
I would throw Barkley into a lot of these discussions as well. Leading scorer on the Dream Team. Guarded Shaq several times at 6'5". Kinda crazy in a good way. Another all-timer with no ring 'cause of MJ.
Just been listing my tops for each position.
PF:
@Kasey & @SoFL_Dawg Stockton had everything but instant scoring. But I'd take CP3 over Steph in a heartbeat. Steph is incredible in his own right but lacks the D, to many turnovers from flashy play, and has the same injury concerns. I saw CP3 push Kobes Lalers with a less talented Hornets team, I honestly think if he didnt injury his quad and Harden wasnt a nutup artist Rockets bounce GSW twice, heck OKC is a playoff team right now with him alone... I believe CP3 is a HUGE difference maker. Stats been consistent for 15 years its not many 19 ppg, 10 ast, 5 reb, 2 stl guys out there.
I’d still take Zeke over him
You make a lot of good points, but I just can’t get with it. All of those guys are better than CP3 to me.
Alot of people probably would. I dont take away that its all opinions. I think better suporting cast, hate he only played 12 years, and 4 turnovers a game is gross. But he was a baller.
Understand. At the end of the day its all what you want from a player/team in your opinion!
