- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Straw man
I understand straw men. I don't understand your comment.
No one is saying we need a 10-year global study from Harvard. Just that there shouldn't be endorsement of certain drugs as treatments. I have no issue with doctors trying off label stuff since there isn't an approved treatment. I take issue with people making definitive claims without evidence
My mention of a "10-year global study from Harvard" is the definition of hyperbole. The fact that you seized on that and called it a straw man, while ignoring my actual point, is telling, but not surprising.
I made no mention of off label use by doctors on a case by case basis only that we should not consider drugs a treatment until it has gone through a RCT. That's how medicine has worked for a while now. Do you not like that? Is that what you take issue with? Making sure a drug works before approving it for a treatment?
Talk about a straw man. Good grief. I've stayed off of this thread up until now and at this point I think I'll bugger off again, like @texdawg.
I'll take that as a yes. Good to know people disagree with foundational principles of medicine. Im finished with the snake oil salesmen constantly pushing crap in this thread.
You are the one who brought in one specific vitamin D expert for the purpose of discrediting on the basis of some completely off topic child abuse storyline. Then you link up three articles, the last two of which are generic and really only touch on not taking too much. I had to chuckle about linking comments from a dermatologist regarding staying out of the sun to avoid skin cancer. Groundbreaking, and relevant. And then there’s Dr Carroll. As he kept rattling off his list of items Vit D won’t help, I kept saying to myself how I had never heard of any of them as a reason to take vitamin D.
The best was determining vitamin D...WON’T PREVENT YOU FROM FALLING DOWN???
Who funded that study? Life Alert?
@Kasey Now that NY is reopening, have you been to any bars yet for a beer? I read the other day where Cuomo had ordered you must order food in order to order alcohol - very orderly, huh?
Now he has stated that chicken wings do not count as food. The Governor has ruled the food served needs to be something “substantial”, like a sandwich. He further stated that if these rules aren’t followed, he will again close them down to prevent the spread of covid.
LOL. No chicken wings, but a PBJ or grilled cheese is fine.
I can’t wait to hear about the menu items bars are going to start adding to comply. How about an open faced celery sandwich with a side of chicken wings?
@Kasey is in Minnesota right now
live look at bank looking for his next covid “scoop” this AM.
don’t be afraid to get some sleep homeboy haha
If Cuomo is doing that, I’m sure he’s being overly cautious and erring on the side of safety after seeing Texas and Florida’s case count rise so high after reopening (ALLEGEDLY!!!!!)
So ridiculous it’s actually funny.’The last of the families I knew (raised in ATL area) that were living in NYC are gone now. Packed up and left because of COVID. Same with friends in California. Average Joe’s (and Jane’s) have had enough. 2020 census will be interesting
Here is what Fauci really thinks of masks last night at the baseball game.
Who is that with him?
Two other people that tested negative hours before the game. CONSPIRACY
