I'm three episodes in and it's been very good thus far. I loved the first two seasons. It does seem like it's about to ramp up in the next episode or so.
I love documentaries, particularly one's about music. I've watched the following music documentaries on Netflix (all were good) this week.
Miles Davis - my favorite of the bunch
ZZ Top
Keith Richards
Chicago
Supersonic about Oasis is good
Beyond the lighted stage about Rush is good
The Lynard Skynard doc on showtime is really good
The Jim Croce doc was slow and a little boring...however it had some good info. My favorite Croce song is "I got a name" and it was actually released on the day he died.
I'll look for the Oasis and Rush documentaries.
There was a great documentary on Netflix about a lot of musicians in the 60's that lived in Laurel Canyon, which is between Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley. It's narrated by Bob Dylan's son and there are a lot of guest musicians who perform some great tunes from CSN&Y, Beach Boys etc.
Haven't seen it...but it is supposedly a netflix must watch. I will soon.
If you like music docs and haven't seen the two part Eagles doc from Showtime a couple years ago, you're missing out. It was fantastic and I HATE the Eagles
Yes. It's very good
I saw that one and you're right it was very good.
Just rewatched Nate's set on "the Stand-ups" . St.upid solid. Also, watching Kyle Kinane's set again. Watch that man. Borderline elite
Dude his coffee with cream bit had me in tears and short of breath I was laughing so hard
You taking about the"milk with ice in it" bit? Haha
basically the whole ending bit. when he orders "iced coffee with cream" and the barista keeps repeating "coffee with cream"
coffee with cream?
coffee with cream...
then he gets a coffee with whipped cream on top
Oh yeah haha my bad I was thinking of the completely other bit. That was in The Tennessee Kid, got confused
"..she’s walked back with a can of whipped cream, and she’s shaking it. And I’m just looking at it, like, thinking that’s someone else’s. I’m like, “Someone’s getting whipped cream. That’s fun. One of you guys are getting whipped cream?” And I look down, and she starts spraying the whipped cream on top of my iced coffee.” 😂
We had a bit of the drink last night watching The Dave Chappelle Mark Twain award ceremony and that just triggered us going back and watching some of our favorite stand up specials
Totally random but I have never seen Clockwork Orange but am of the impression it is as twisted as it gets. Thought of it reading these reviews and the history timeline in my computer that said Space Odyssey 2001 was released on April 3 1968-69 another Kubrick film.
Thus speak ye Zarathustra? About these two films?
