See you cannot help yourself, you just have to continue until you get your way. It was not the OP's opinion he was posting a news item about HW's opinion and the OP made NO COMMENT one way or the other.
Just an FYI, this is @JeffSentell 's rule regarding this:

Violate any of this and the Mods will do their thing.
Someone explain why you/they want to **** up this forum by having political topics here. What is gained by that? How does that help the UGA community? And who cares what Herschel thinks about anything other than football?
Herschel sounds like my grandmother. Poor guy.
I like what 34 had to say . Every one may not agree on his comment but is relevant because he is the greatest UGA player of all TIMES!!
I don't have any issues with celebrities disagreeing with me politically, my annoyance comes from news outlets that broadcast and repeat their opinions ad nauseum as if they hold more weight than anyone else's opinion. Being an Oscar winning actor doesn't give you better insight on fiscal policy or public education than the world's best plumber or your local grocery store manager.
I also try to compartmentalize politics from entertainment. For example, I'm a big fan of the works of Stephen King but if I allowed myself to let his twitter comments get under my skin, I'd find it difficult to read his books.
In general, its an ill informed statement. There's no correlation between the two things and he's trying to make a connection somehow. A great many homeless in America are suffering from mental health issues, which opens up a whole other can of worms.
That it was an idiotic statement is the opinion of you and probably some others on this forum. However, many other very educated members on this Forum probably don't believe it's a very idiotic comment.
Just because you don't agree hardly makes it idiotic.
Let's stick to arguing about football.
