Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Nike has the best uniforms. It sponsors the most elite teams. It brings in more money so UGA gets more money. Being a Nike school is prestigious.
and from there you might also add the all important factor, { Nike's got the swag that most recruits want }.
The silver pants weigh too much. No lie. Our equipment staff does a test on every article of the uniform and the weight (dry & wet), coolness, flexibility, etc. is taken into consideration. It is literally down to a science. And the "silver britches" just haven't measured up, yet.
That just sounds way too logical for my liking.
forgot to insert silly emoji.😜
I wonder if Crocs would sew little dawg ears on the sides if we switched ?
"redacted hypothetical" ^^ Saw it here first, folks
Nike has proven over and over to be embarrassed about traditional AMerican values. That matters to me. I haven’t bought a Nike product in a couple of years. This isn’t political, this is an American company afraid to celebrate America. It offends me. They are making business decisions that go against my sense of patriotism. If it doesn’t bother you, fine.
That sounds made up
Champro makes a silver game pants. A comparable pants - same manu - weighs a little over a pound.. Could not find the weight of a Nike game pant. The Nike is made with (all?) nylon, while the Champro is polyester-spandex, so the Nike will weight more. It does NOT come in silver.
Champro game pants - available in silver
comparable, but less Spandex - not available in silver - weighs 1.06 lbs
Nike team pants - no weight given, not available in silver
My guess is that because Nike doesn't have a game pants in silver is the reason that a silver pants is not used. As to a poly fabric versus nylon, yes, nylon is super durable. But we're talking about one game. Test the Champro in practice for a week, and see if it holds up. The Nike is $85 each stock (no customization). The Champro is under $20. The math is favorable, but likely the Nike licensing prevents the use of another product. Go, you anthracite britches!
