- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I dont think he wants to be handed a job, but he wants to be able to earn one. If he stays at Clemson he has to sit behind TLaw one more year, and there is no competition. Then they are bring in there QB of the future this year.
He could probably transfer somewhere that he is guaranteed to start but I think he would rather feel like he won the job. Not to mention he stays close to home.
If Brice comes and beats out Newman, a certain segment of our fan base will rant nonstop.
Brice has taken the pic down from Twitter now but apparently there's real smoke there. Kipp on TOS said that Brice told him that he is not enrolled at Georgia right now. Key words there are "right now".
I guess he has a better chance starting at UGA than Clemson. After TL leaves I'd imagine DJ steps up. Here he sits a year behind Newman then starts 2021. That will put Vandagriff/Williams sitting the year to start in 2022.
Truthfully idk how I feel about this.
You just skipped over Beck/Mathis.
So many people sleeping on Mathis. If he's medically cleared, dude is talented. And Beck after a year in the system isn't going to be a joke either.
I think a 3rd year Mathis or 2nd year Beck beats out Brice anyway.
Just a theory from over there, I should've pointed that out. My bad. I'm not sleeping on them personally which why I said I didn't know how I felt about it.
That's just a theory though so who knows how it's gonna all pan out. Doubt Brice is a done deal yet.. 🤷
Too late 🤣
Brain surgery is no small thing for a football player as far as future serious damage absorbing big hits... He may not get cleared or family may not want to risk it... Brice may be needed to have numbers and compete with Beck in 2021.

I honestly think Beck will challenge this year with Newman. I think Coley (over Kirby) will have final say in "his" guy. Mathis getting cleared would make things more difficult for Beck cause he has the muscle memory of snaps, play calls, and he is talented. Him getting those snaps helps. I maybe a a-hole but I see Bennett as the same as Mathis but I cant see him actually taking a starter job but being the first off the bench in blowouts due to seniority.
If Mathis is cleared and doesnt win I would want him to transfer out and pursue starting spots after his RSSoph year ideally. Beck I think is the guy for 2 years at minimum.
I'd take Brice in as a arm but I dont think he beats out Beck or Mathis. I think he would be the guy sith skill though that could be a challenger after sitting out a year. Open comp is what Kirby preaches. But I'd rather go with 2021 recruit, Beck, and Mathis (Kirksey and Priesly).
Don't jump to the conclusion that it will be Coley picking his guy. Lots of buzz around Monken right now.
We only have one Proven QB and that’s Newman. No way will Beck and Mathis compete for the starting job. Beck took a step back his senior year. That’s why the Dawgs aggressively went after another HS QB, but Ohio State won him over. Mathis is a wildcard because of his injury. What happens if Newman gets hurt??????
What happens if you reveal your true team fandom and it’s not UGA???????????
