It's really impressive the talent and gifts many of you all have. I wish that I had some of that and maybe I do, but haven't explored underlying potentials. I think I may work on that though, counting out singing. I can however peel shower walls with my vocal abilities if ever needed..
I guess I can say I'm somewhat, self taught mechanically inclined to the extent that I descent at "fixing" things. I was curious at an early age with taking things apart and putting them back together. Helped me throughout the years being able to work on small engines, cars, appliances, and just around the house stuff. Saved me a lot of money being able to do the work on my motorcycles and cars when a dealer wasn't necessary. Blah, blah and so forth.
Hobbies....well I used to hunt, fish, play golf like many. Love trout fishing even though I haven't done it much lately. Lot of "life changes" affect many things. Went through a divorce 20 years ago. Pretty much stopped my life as I knew it and dreamed of. Then hobbies changed. Next chapter and mid-life crisis.....buy a Harley! And that I did with having some motorcycle riding experience growing up riding and racing dirt bikes in my teens.
Alas!! A new hobby. Got comfortable with a bigger "road" bike and decided to see what that was all about. Did 4 trips to Sturgis for the Rally and a few others on the side. Really started enjoying the new "hobby" and meeting some really good, down to earth people. Gave me a new perspective, not only on people but on life in general. Still riding as a "hobby" , but it's time to work back into old ones and into new ones.
Thanks @texdawg for making me start thinking about stuff again!!
BTW......My "Hobby Helper" 1997 Heritage Springer
One of my favorite bikes! Good choice and my favorite color scheme
That bike is awesome
That's the Mona Lisa of cows, I feel like she's trying to tell me something..
Nice work bruh
Awesome scooter, bro.
Back in the day I was a pretty legit mountain & dirt biker.....until I broke my back.
These days it's guitar/singing & any kind of fishing. Can hit a saucer with a fly from 100ft. Not sure that's a talent but it's a passion & fun...
Tight strings & tight loops
I was messing around earlier (even though there is some truth to it) I’m pretty good at retaining walls, and making stone fire pits. Don’t have any fire pits pics on my mobile device. Ok at grade work depending on the need. Here are some of my favorite retaining walls. Did the grade work on the last pic. Proud to say you can rest a marble on my walls
I’m pretty good at golf played in college did some Monday qualifiers for nationwide tour and the us open qualifiers. Favorite thing in the entire world is being on a golf course. Nature and friends.
You forgot beer.
Did you ever go for your card?
women dig me and I write good.
not in that order usually
Kasey, ARE you sure you write good?
I’m going to take a moment to be off topic. Didn’t want to bring an old thread up or start a new one. @FirePlugDawg has been banned?
Well he is marrying an almost Canadian so ...
O
You don’t say, aye
Surely not. Fireplug bro is good people
My man savage bro tell us about your racing days. Sort of grew up racing. Did harescrambles but growing up the focus was on stick and ball sports. Bass fishing every weekend growing up 24/7. Sometimes we would have dog fight tournament on Wednesdays. Just now trying to teach myself fly fishing. Any tips on gear?
I’m pretty sure he’s good people too JRT. Seems he may be in the dawg house though.
Just to stay on topic , that’s important , I’ve done some hunting and fishing in the past too. Enjoy the fishing more.
I’m the same. I can wet a line rain or shine. Hunting wore off as I got older.
Tried deer hunting a little back in college. Didn’t care for climbing a tree and freezing my butt off early in the morning. Enjoyed bird hunting with my step-dad, uncle, and granddad more. Been along since I did Any hunting
Kudos if that’s you in the pic, big time leap right there. I used to live on two wheels back before marriage and three kids. Also hunted with a Hoyt Impala bow, used to shoot with a guy that used a long bow, always said “ got to be a man to shoot one of these” and he was right.
