Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

July data through yesterday
This is my original list as I don't have all of the data for the new "Top 10" to calculate CFR (case Fatality Rate).
The CFR(20) is assuming a 20 day lag while the CFR(30) is with a 30 day lag. I added the 30 based on the high CFR in NJ where there is both high testing and low %Pos suggesting that the deaths are a result of earlier cases than the 20 day period. These results are much more consistent (NJ excepted).
The highest %Pos is in Florida (where else 😂) at 19.2% which suggests inadequate testing even though they are above average in per capita testing. They also have the highest CFR also suggesting that they are not close to identifying all cases. This will reduce their lag due to a significant number of cases not being identified until severe symptoms arise.
I will be able to report this data on the newly monitored states from August 1st as I will then have complete data relating to the prior 20/30 days cases etc. in the spreadsheet.
Interesting you said College kid. My son who is 21 and in College didn't feel well on Tuesday, just achy and no other symptoms swore he didn't have a fever. He is very diligent on wearing his UGA mask went to a Dr. to be tested on Wednesday. They checked and he had a 100.6 fever but no other typical symptoms. The Dr. told him if he didn't have a temperature he probably wouldn't test him but they did and he got the results back yesterday and was positive. Feels fine now and said was just achy no cough or breathing issues and Motrin made him feel 100% through the whole thing. He is the first person I know that has tested positive and I feel lucky.
Fleming, I'm glad your son didn't get it any worse than he did.
Thank You !!!, We consider ourselves very lucky.
Day three in hospital. Down to 1.5L now which is good. Moving around better. I still can’t hold my breath or inhale big gasp of air before feeling like I’m going to cough up my lung. I’m fighting blood clots in both lungs and pneumonia. I’m claiming I’m going to beat this. Four other family members have it now. Two over 65. I’m praying for their recovery. We were all at dinner together.
Keep up the good fight, my man. Praying for the whole family.
Short leash
He doesn't look bad either. Probably could have filmed an effective campaign commercial wearing one. I am glad he is setting a better example with this.
Edit: even though I don't think this is political let's avoid trump to not set off a political argument.
sorry, wasn't meant to be (totally) political. I'm legitimately excited he chose to wear one. Hoping he continues to do so and influence others to do the same
I'm totally with you. I think it was a great move by him.
Just clarifying....so, the key to the code is no politicizing for Republicans? Democrats, as always, are cleared to politicize to their heart's content? Just so everyone understands the rules...BTW, I count Denmen's jab at FL's governor, Kasey's jabs at Trump, and Yale's Trump jab...that makes three. Dems 3 and Reps 0 for out of bounds posts on the new politics free Covid 2.0 thread. When do we start Covid 3.0? 😂
There have been minor jabs from both sides but nothing major. I just said no one should bring trump up again to avoid any political argument and Kasey and I actually praised him.
Yale, it is really easy--avoid talking about politics directly or by inference. How hard is that? No jabs, minor or otherwise allowed. Keeping this discussion apolitical will probably be a great exercise for everybody, BTW. I actually enjoy political debates, as many of us do. I watch Georgia football as an escape from politics and life's problems. I'm fine with keeping politics out of football.
