My comment about "widespread", I was saying I didn't think the miscounted info was widespread..
Update from AZ. The seven day average of new cases has been going down recently, now at 3,135 compared to the high of 3,844 on July 6th. Percent positive is still high, around 23 percent today I believe. The currently hospitalized seems to be plateauing though, even going down the last two days. New deaths are still increasing, which makes sense given the lag between cases and deaths.
Gov Ducey allowed counties and cities to set their own requirements as far as masks goes a couple weeks ago. Where I live it is required and almost everyone wears them now, but before it was maybe 50/50 at best. Seeing the cases potentially trend downward right now makes me optimistic about the results that wearing masks is having.

Just announced that school and all activities are delayed until Sept 8th. My daughter is crying because it's her senior year......
My son is on his way home from football because.......no more football.
We had just had a safety meeting at our school....working out plans to restart school before this announcement.
We had 21 physician parents at the meeting with great info. A couple of the docs are very highly respected and well known.
Great info. Learned a lot.
- Confirmed covid is highly contagious.
- said reporting of positive tests was probably a little inconsistent......but the reality is there really are a lot of positive cases right now.
- most interesting thing that all 20 docs agreed on........people can certainly die from Covid.....but it is not really that deadly. Every death ......that can be classified as a covid death......is.
In other words......if a person tests positive for covid......regardless how they die.....its ruled a covid death. AND YES..... IT'S BECAUSE OF FUNDING....AND IT'S NOT ILLEGAL.
That's the problem.......and they all said it's fairly common knowledge.
So..... I know there are a few very knowledgeable covid experts on here......my question......how do you not know that reporting deaths this way is common practice? And why were you claiming that financial incentives were not an issue? When they clearly are.

There are also a number of investigations on going about false covid claims.....claims where cause of death was ruled covid..... but patient never tested positive ......this has been especially prevalent with the homeless and people without family. This is highly illegal and is being investigated.... though this probably doesn't account for many of the deaths.
This whole covid thing is absolute bull**** and those that are really upset about it don't know what to do.

It is pretty easy to find.
I get this is an emotional issue that is affecting our lives, our kids lives and our economic well being. But it seems disingenuous to quote friends and neighbors that are "well respected" doctors and medical professionals in the community, but completely disregard our nations top medical professionals and organizations that are going on record publicly (often making mistakes, but willing to put their name on it and own it). Screams of believing the folks that fit our narrative to me.
No hate here. This sucks for my family too. But it seems like there are a lot of folks that keep quoting the people that make them feel vindicated, and crapping on the people that dare say something to the contrary.

Tough to read that post, I feel so horrible for your kids. Luckily my son is still a couple years away from entering school. If there’s a silver lining here, this is an incredible opportunity for your kids to learn life-long lessons about the dangers of blind trust in government. I’d be interested to hear more about what your kids and their friends are thinking right now. If you don’t want to share that here, I certainly understand as well. Thank you for asking.Just uncertainty. More so for my daughter. She missed prom last year......possibly homecoming this year.....and this is her final year of softball in the spring. This is her one and only senior year.......am I selfish.... absolutely. I wouldn't be if it was for a noble cause........
And there is no reason to believe it will be any better in the spring......I mean the decision making won't be any better. And it is unlikely there will be an effective vaccine.
My son doesn't know what to think. He still has time......just a sophomore .. football coach is looking into practicing in a neighboring county. Most of Our competitors can still practice because they aren't in Dallas county.
And for what? We will look back on this time and wonder why we made these horrible decisions.

June 16: 463,137 tests, 23,435 positive (5.1%), 729 deaths (3.1%)
May 16: 362,120 tests, 24,701 positive (6.8%), 984 deaths (4.0%)
April 16: 163,798 tests, 30,923 positive (18.9%), 2,141 deaths (6.9%)
March 16: 17,924 tests, 1,569 positive (8.8%), 21 deaths (1.3%)
If these numbers are correct, things are no different today than they were four months ago, other than the increase in testing?
