Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I cant wait for the answer. Dude is highly educated
Nolan has way too much personality to be caught up in this. Personality absolutely does correlate to smarts, imo. Gregarious guys like Nolan don’t have trouble qualifying.
My concern is with the non-IMG kids The guy was willing to travel to take tests for kids, as evidenced by the fact he went to Houston and back on the same day. The hypothetical that would concern me is for a coach with an existing relationship at IMG to be told, “Hey, we can also help with getting a guy ‘prepped’ for the SAT and can guarantee score improvement - even if he isnt at IMG.”
So then down the road there’s a VERY marginal student who has exceptional physical skills but is coming up short on his standardized test scores. Someone remembers what the guy at IMG said one time many months ago and a call is made, “Hey - tell me how you can help.”
Yeah. This could turn in to a very big deal. DONT USE TELEPHONES!
It wasn’t an absolute statement. Certainly some white collar crime deserves jail time. As for 2008 - there’s the whole thing about maximizing shareholder value, which is a fiduciary responsibility. Corporations have a bigger legal obligation to shareholders than the general public. Then there’s the whole thing about what’s legal and are there any public comments on record in regard to congressional intent. If Barney Frank didn’t deserve to go to Federal Pound Me In The *** Prison then nobody on Wall St should have served time either.
The damage done and the intent of many of the things done, the others all deserved prison, period. Fraud existed all over the place. There has to be severe repercussions for that. Many of the people that committed that fraud made their money and got out. Quite frankly, there is nothing in place for the next group not to be incentivized to commit fraud, get their money and get out.
Sorry, just got out of a brain surgery... oh, sorry, a transplant procedure. My bad. Get them mixed up easily. The Sphinx was once a part of a Herschel Walker statue built by the Egyptians 12,000 years ago to honor the goal line stalker. If they can build one, then so should UGA. Now I’m odd to take another SAT for some kids in Alabama.
Sometimes I agree with you. Sometimes I don't.
This time I do.
Robert Beal too. We may have some others, I'm just going off pure memory and I am a very casual follower of recruiting stuff for the most part these days.
Ya know whats crazy? Aunt Becky got her daughter into USC, she paid something half a million dollars. Mmmkay, but her daughter that's in USC, guess where she was when she found out mom got arrested for fraud? She was on a USC board member's 100million dollar yacht, travelling around for spring break (go Trojans!). Like... I'm trying not to be petty, I'm trying to not be a hater.... but good grief. That fact that these are the people that feel the need to get all preachy and look down at the rest of America. Well, I'll just say I don't care for any of this.
The fact that the 2 actresses have taken the brunt of this is unfortunate. They deserve what they get, but there is all kinds of wrong and privilege in this, especially on some pretty decent corporate players. I'm sure others are scared right now that they will be found out.
Lori Loughlin is pretty conservative and not your typical Hollywood “know-it-all” like Sean Pean and Michael “Fatback” Moore.
Felicity Huffman and William H Macy fit the mold you mention.
You're right. I feel like they're being made the face of this, when actually there are many many others. Not sure if that's on purpose, or just because the media will get more eyeballs because they're recognizable. The cynical side of me says it's probably a little bit of both. But they're certainly being the scapegoat.
It's the eyeballs thing. I know there's a lot of conspiracy around, but the fact of the matter is being in the public eye and having a face to things brings viewers which brings the money.
grishamdisco. Are brain surgeries and transplant surgeries mutually exclusive ? Maybe your skill level isn't up to par.
Shouldn’t have skipped that day in class at med school!
Brain transplants are easy, the problem is the brain never works, so you end up with a UTjr fan
