Our best pitcher is Emerson Hancock, kid is a stud. Starting pitching as a whole has been stellar for us so far this season.
Kid will definitely be a round 1 (top 10 pick.) He always seemed to have the "stuff." But really has command of his change up and slider now. Consistent mid 90's, spotting it up on both sides of the plate and changing speeds. He's absolutely for real. Wilcox will be in the same conversation soon simply because his stuff is just electric. High 90's with consistency will probably (by UGA's pitching coach Kenny) be dialed down to the 93-96 range with more movement being stressed. He has top OVERALL #1 pick type stuff 2 years from now.
Tony Locey is a stud as well. There were 10-12 scouts at his last start. I really would like to see a few position players (FROM Georgia) sign in the next class to hopefully turn the river of talent leaving the state into a trickle. We've got SO many studs in Georgia hs baseball it's ridiculous. We can't keep em all home; but we have to get some big name bats to go with these arms. Jernigan from south Ga seems like a stud. I believe he's stolen an OF spot already (especially since Bradley's injury.)
@MacDawg15 Yeah it really has been pick your poison with the starting pitching. They are 13-1 with a 1.79 ERA, the only loss being a 1-0 loss to LIU Brooklyn on an unearned run. I've been watching every game this is the best team we've had since 08. The SEC is an absolute gaunlet this year so we will learn what we're made of pretty quick.

They looked good again tonite. We knew our pitching (specifically the starters) were gonna have to pull the load this year. What's great is we have a few guys like Webb, Smith, and of course Wilcox to start when needed, and provide some long relief if our starter that day doesn't have his a+ stuff. I believe Hancock, Wilcox and Webb will be our 123 guys nxt yr.

Your right is is a daunting one. The upside to it though is we get the gayturds, LSU, Mizzou, Bama, and Vandy at Foley. But have to go to Starkville, Lexington, Knoxville and awbarn. Sweeps are great of course but if we can not drop more than one series to anyone; we'll be setting ourselves up very nicely to possibly host a regional after the conference tourny.
Like the song said 2 out of 3 ain't bad lol. I can't say enough about what the pitching coach from Michigan that we brought in has done with not only the weekend big boys; but EVERYONE. We have some VERY talented arms that can start each wknd (or spot start when needed), or come out of the pen in relief. Shunk is nearly as good as a college closer can be; and he's our 3 hole hitter lol. Webb, Kristofak, Goodman, CJ Smith, and Glover seem to be for sure professional arms imo. My 1st hit in the minors was off of Pedro Borbon, but these guys have the stuff. It's VERY possible none mentioned here will ever be IN the show; but if they can stay healthy, I personally believe they'll see a few bigger stadiums and getting paid to do it.
