Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

You are correct on everything, amigo, except one important detail: Costa Rica is in the northern hemisphere. Go back and read my post. Dec-Mar is winter in the northern hemisphere. They call it summer, as both of us said.
You are correct. TECHNICALLY we have the same seaons as you. But, as I said, it is "referred to" differently. BTW As far as temps, our months of Jan and Feb are the coolest and there is no rain. Not arguing just pointing out details. I've lived here almost 10 years.
I think we are saying the same thing, pocoyo. They refer to winter as summer and summer as winter. I've spent a lot of time there, too. I hadn't studied the temps in winter, but that is interesting. Thx for pointing it out. If that's the case, then flu season occurs in the warmer and wetter months (more heat and humidity).
I am almost sure I remember the papers, in May , concerned that the "approaching flu season" would complicate Covid. Also, I would agree that wet and humid would be worse than cool and dry.
It's hard to believe someone would DV your post, but I suspect I know who did it. I think DV'er went to Yale or maybe dreams of going there after he graduates from Florida Atlantic University.
The chart regarding the number of businesses that will close forever is also extremely important to note. Those are people's livelihoods and vital sources of income for themselves and their families.
Yes, that's correct. Cold and flu season in summer. You must have been gone from the US for a long time because I've had this conversation with a bunch of Ticos through the years and they all respond exactly like you did😎--when you tell them their summer is really winter they look at you like you are crazy and point out that summer is summer and winter is winter!!
Haven't DVed any posts in the thread. I see I'm always on your mind though.
You over estimate your importance.
cool
I think it has become like cheerleading here. I've decided they are almost useless. Usually, when somebody says something challenging or thought provoking on any side of a debate, it gets DVs. Some of the very best posts on DN have lots of DVs. Of course, sometimes people get DVs for being rude or inappropriate. I try not to worry about them.
Stop with the crying about DV's, once again asking nicely or do we want a time out.....you choose.....
Asking nicely once again.......
@JoelSidneyKelly love, love, LOVE this post!!! Real, genuine historical perspective that everyone has lived through hard times, and some more than others. I remember my parents (Korean War veteran dad) telling me that the WWII veterans and the citizens back home in the states were known as the “Greatest Generation” for all of the hardships that they endured I.e. - the Great Depression, and stopping Hitler in WWII, etc... makes me so grateful for those who have gone before us, while trying all the while to make things better for us too.
Praying for all of y’all for this to finally end, and the DAWGS to get back to doing what we all love. Seriously, I do pray about this COVID pandemic everyday, and aside from that take care of my wife and kids, and hope it’s not going to go on forever
Thanks for asking @dawggirl81 I am as close to 100% as I think I can be. Was free diving today for lobsters in 10-25 ft and breath hold felt solid. I am 11 days out from my first day with a fever, about 5 days without feeling significant symptoms.
