I know it is the Georgia Way under Smart, but I will be really surprised if the Bulldogs can get to 25 signees in this class.

I think major heavy lifting will be required to just get to somewhere around 23 signees.

To clarify, does Walthour count towards this class or not ?

Do we know who all is planning on enrolling early? Do we have a list on that?

I'll put a list of these guys in the blog this week. Look for it.

That list can and likely will evolve mightily.

My man! Stays delivering the goods

Good to know. The more I look around 22-23 seems to be more likely.

I've heard 25 as well and I think the last 7 will look like this:

    Jadon Haselwood-#1 WR
    Nakobe Dean-#1 ILB
    Trevor Keegan-#15 OT
    Clay Webb-#1 OC
    Tyrique Stevenson-#4 CB
    Kaiir Elam-#8 CB
    Nick Cross-#5 S

    Walthour counts for 2019.

SoFl, we have a lot of DL commits already. Would we be processing a 3 star if a target wants in? Or would they compete with all the other targets for those last 7 spots?

Right now, based on today, we don’t have a target that we’re really in it for on DL. Nathan Pickering has not made it to campus so we can’t trust that we’re really in it. I wouldn’t be shocked if we found a higher rated guy. I’m expecting change on the DL but it may not be a flip or upgrade. We may “lose” a player who we simply allow to walk. Going to depend on how other positions unfold and our numbers.

This may surprise many, but the DL who could walk based on recent chatter is actually Bill Norton. I’m not saying this is a final deal. Norton has had a less than stellar senior season and staff may feel he’s a better OL at this point (something we don’t need more of in 19). Initially, Logue was thought to be the player most likely to seek greener pastures but CTS is a big fan of his versatility and feels he will be a 285-300 DT. Walker and Tymon will be in class. Walthour, well it’s a good look if he’s in the class (politics). So we’ll have to let this play out but no one should panic if we see attrition on the DL (excluding Walker and Tymon).

Walthour counts to last cycle if he stays aboard. But I think Coach Scott got some points to find "his guys" after marked improvement in Davis. If Mitchell and Logue are next Im excited.

That would basically be the perfect scenario, if we can get half of that we would be doing quite well.

I took down all the mirrors in my house because everyone is beautiful on the inside

So you installed an x-ray machine? An MRI?

Not arguing with you as you may be correct. My source doesn’t think so though.

Why? Are we not sold on Plumlee? Is Plumlee going to cross train at another position? He is quite athletic and fast

If Plumlee went somewhere mid tier and became a starter I think he would be a fun QB. I'm not sure he plays often at UGA. I do like him however, and I think he's a live wire.

Nothing to do with Plumee and the primary reasons

    1. Extra arms to prevent fatigue in practice and prep. Kirby had to limit reps for QBs this year to prevent fatigue.
    2. We only have two scholarship QBs on roster now. Many coaches believe 4 is a good number for attrition through transfer or injury.

Who else are we going after, Yellen?

Hilinski’s coming our way and you heard it here first. Three great visits, likes the city and the atmosphere. Likes the team and loves the coaches. Every visit has been awesome. They just feel like Athens is where they need to be. Could be the next decommit and then recommitt to the good guys.
